How to Make Your Bathroom all Christmassy This Year

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner and we’ll soon be decking our halls with boughs of holly and putting the fairy on top of the tree. Whilst it’s fun to decorate the home at this time of the year, one area that is often neglected is the bathroom, and this is such a shame. Do things differently this year. As the season of goodwill begins, consider how you are going to dress your bathroom and consider these options to have a jolly holiday.

Add a festive scent

Step foot inside the bathroom and enjoy the wonderful aroma of Christmas by placing scented diffusers inside the room. You can light a few scented candles and make the bathroom look cosy and inviting whilst making it smell nice at the same time. House Beautiful has listed 11 of the best-scented candles this year, so there’s no excuse for your bathroom not to smell wonderful.

Use themed bath bombs

Display Christmas themed bath bombs and soaps in your bathroom to create a feeling of seasonal cheer. Bath bombs come in many different styles and you’ll find loads of different Christmas themes online. Stores like Lush specialise in festive products and you can browse their current collection of Christmas bath bombs online and get your bathroom ready for Xmas this way.

Play Christmas music

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a little festive music, so why not place a radio in your bathroom and listen to all those classic songs and have a sing-a-long to put you in the seasonal spirit? Whether you have classic carols playing in the background, or a medley of the most memorable Christmas songs, it’ll add a bit of cheer to your bathroom this year.

Spray the windows

Use snow spray on your bathroom windows to give them a frosty appearance and coordinate with the Christmas theme. You might not see any of the white stuff on Christmas Day this year, but at least you can pretend it’s been snowing outside by spraying your windows with fake flakes instead.  You can add a few temporary festive stencils to the walls as well to add to the effect.

Decorate a tree (a small tree, not a large one!)

Miniature Christmas trees look gorgeous on bathroom ledges and you can drape them in colourful battery operated fairy lights to make the room even more festive. Imagine walking into the bathroom to be greeted by the sight of a mini spruce looking all lovely and seasonal? How fabulously festive!

There are many ways to decorate your bathroom for Christmas, so please don’t neglect this important room at this time of the year. Whether you hang a festive wreath on the door, dangle mistletoe from the ceiling, or buy festive toilet seat covers, bath mats, or shower curtains, you can create the perfect Christmas theme inside your bathroom.
